Corporate Responsibility

Corporate and Social Responsibility is integral to Middleton and the Services we offer. Due to the diverse nature of the work we carry out and the geographical area in which we operate we are constantly reviewing the impact and cost of the operation we are responsible for.

As well as the clearly defined impacts laid out in our Environmental Policy which we address we are looking at technology for logistical management to further reduce impact. This includes the use of electronic tracking and data transfer to reduce wasted travel time, fuel and paper use as well as increasing the skill levels of operatives and the use of planned visits where possible to be more effective when on site.

As a progressive company, we are extremely conscious of our need and responsibility to contribute to the preservation of communities and the environment both locally and in reference to our overall UK-wide business. Our vision is to ensure that our processes limit the impact that our operations have on both today’s communities, a nd those of future generations, and indeed wherever possible, they will add further value.

Much can, and has been learnt from reports such as ‘Taking care of tomorrow’, utilising and adapting techniques from other market sectors. As we continue to develop our approach to CSR, we welcome the opportunity to take involvement in activities over and above our contractual requirements.
