A Safe Approach
Our approach to Health and Safety underpins every aspect of our service delivery.
Our company is registered to BS EN ISO 9001 and we will as a minimum, follow our registered processes and procedures.
Responsibility stretches throughout all levels within the organisation, including at main board, where ultimate responsibility rests with the Managing Director. Our team, led by a dedicated Health and Safety Director, deliver a comprehensive approach to training and supervision, from a new employee’s initial training, through tailored development in line with an individual’s job, to director level responsibilities. We remain dedicated to the health and safety of our people and those who come into contact with our activities, whether customers, suppliers or members of the public
Reduced accidents
We are proud of our health and safety record throughout the business as a whole.
All our work is undertaken in accordance with our Middleton H&S Policy and Safety procedures that are well understood by all our employees and sub contractors.
Our own working procedures relating to safety include but not restricted to, setting-up work activities safely, housekeeping and self management at work, safe handling of tools, equipment and materials, substances, electricity, work at heights, site and workplace security etc.
Our practice enables us to offer protection to our customers too.
Training
All Managers, staff and operational employees are trained to be aware of their particular responsibilities in regard to Health & Safety and the welfare of themselves, other employees under their control and the general public. In order to ensure a high level of quality and safety is exhibited upon employment, all employees undergo training on a series of core training modules, which include:
- General Hazards
- Access / Work at Heights
- Plant and Equipment
- Excavations & Earthworks
- Manual Handling
- Health Hazards and Special Risks
- Personal Protection (PPE)
- Fire Prevention and Control
- Working in Occupied Buildings
New Employee Training & Induction
Before becoming operational, each employee will receive a one-to-one training induction in the Company Health & Safety Rules and Safe Working Practices. No new employee will be allowed to become operational until a Manager, competent in Safety Training, has confirmed that the new employee understands the Company's Safety Rules and Safe Working Practices & Procedures.
Management Health and Safety Training
All our senior management, who are involved in project management, have undertaken IOSH 5 day Managing Safely and also hold CSCS cards.

As well as the aforementioned BS EN ISO 9001 quality accreditation, for which we adhere to a QUENSH (Quality , Environmental, Safety & Health) Policy, we are also members of the following accredited bodies:
